His love of expository preaching has grown me as a believer like nothing els. When pastors say "don't take my word for it, study for yourself" and then don't teach how to read the Bible well and ignore teaching important doctrines, the congregation is left helpless. Joe Lamay teaches that communication takes place through words, and words have intended meaning.If you think the average sermon is just fine, and you believe God's word is God communicating himself to us, I highly recommend you read this book.
