About the Author

Stuart Hotchkiss is a former publishing chief who served as the executive creative director of Time Inc. and the president of Time Home Entertainment Inc. He is also a past president of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington.

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Hotchkiss now lives in Boise, Idaho, where he serves as vice president of the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho’s executive council.

Segments where many may relate or LOL. Opportunities lost and gained, poignant yet full of humor. You watch this runaway train and know where it will crash. You want to snatch him out before derailment and ultimate impact again and again. You want to say "What is HE doing?" I have heard of the author but don't know him personally. I know some of the cast of characters and the city where he was raised and he hit the nail on the head at every mark. Admire his courage and the shedding of the facade. One that so many carry. He has pried open the door, with Herculean effort, to finally find find freedom and authenticity. Lets hope any sequel will be about "Life Happily Ever After."Jane A Richmond, VA

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Better Than Fiction By Steve I got up and started reading this book, and I could not put it down until I finished it! Some of that had to do with my personal familiarity with the author and the setting of his first chapter. (I was one of the boys driving up his driveway in that elementary school carpool!). But the ease of his prose and his flair for telling the truth of his life make this a truly first-rate read! Thank you, Stuart. Youhave pulled back the veil on an extraordinary personal reality.
