He failed to leave out the fact that he was a paid informant and received a check in the amount of $25,000.00 for a case that he assisted the state police in . Just goes to show you that anyone can make up a bunch of lies and sell a book . Don't waste your $ or time reading this !!

The family has done their father proud with this book. Along with the first one they had published, the two books together will be cherished by John Wayne fans for years to come. With all the added copies of letters from Duke's fellow actors and actresses, letters from Presidents and other important people in Duke's life, plus all the other little copies of documents from the life of John Wayne make this book something that can be passed on to future generations of fans. And it's so much better put together then that book by Roberts/Welky called Treasures. Outstanding job to Ethan and his staff at John Wayne Enterprises.

About the Author Agnes C. Laut was born in Huron County, Ontario in 1871. She was a reporter and editorial writer for the Manitoba Free Press in the 1890s, then a wide-ranging travel writer. Her books include Lords of the North, Heralds of Empire, The Story of the Trapper, Pathfinders of the West, Vikings of the Pacific, Canada at the Crossroads, and The Romance of the Rails. She died in 1936.

About the Author While growing up in Olympia, Washington, Allison Williams spent much of her childhood climbing trees and reading books at the top. Family vacations involved camping in the shadow of Mount Rainier or exploring the very dark, probably haunted tunnels of Port Townsend’s old forts.Allison received her bachelor’s degree in biology and English from Duke University, with studies at Oxford University and an ethnobiology field school in Costa Rica. She worked as a writer and editor in New York City for eight years, including staff positions at Metro daily newspaper and Time Out New York. When the lure of the Northwest’s mountains, drizzle, and summer berry harvests became impossible to ignore, she relocated to Seattle. She has since realized two lifelong dreams: summiting Mount Rainier and poking sticks into the campfire without being disciplined.Allison earned her MFA in creative writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where her fiction thesis won the Jason Wenger Award for Literary Excellence. Her journalistic work has been recognized with awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and a nomination from the City and Regional Magazine Association. As senior editor at Seattle Met magazine, she covers travel and the outdoors by hiking every trail and driving every road she can find on a map.

• British Colombia Parliament Buildings: Victoria is the provincial capital and its governmental buildings are one of the city’s best architectural displays.

• Fort Worden State Park: The military campus turned state park boasts beaches, a lighthouse, old battlements, and historical houses.
• Northwest Maritime Center: All things boats are taught, made, and celebrated at the home of the Wooden Boat Festival.
• Hurricane Ridge: From its perch in an alpine meadow overlooking the peaks of the Olympic Mountains, this structure is what passes for a home base in the Olympic National Park.

It's spot on for dining, sightseeing and accommodation suggestions. Best part-all the fun, not-to-be-missed attractions. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life and still found great ideas. I just bought a copy to give for a retirement gift. Perfect for both rain or shine trips, and the first book I've seen for spur of the moment exploring.

One of the best travel guides I've seen By Jennifer T Ond of the best books I've used in a long time - and I go through 3-6 for each trip I go on - pretty picky about which ones I use. Excellent formatting and arranging of the options as well as the descriptions of the places to stop/visit along the way. Can't wait to start my trip!!!!
