Among other things, this collection of thoughts and stories includes: 1. "Age Spots: With dementia, sometimes the truth is only skin deep" - My mom was convinced her age spots were a new and terrible kind of cancer. I was convinced the truth would ease her suffering. We were both wrong. 2. "Dr. Google: Modern doctors face terminal diagnosis" - With libraries of medical knowledge at our fingertips, who needs doctors anymore? 3. "Al Niente: Trumpets, words and a grandmother with dementia" - My son sculpts the world with music. I sculpt the world with words. My mother sculpted us both with love, and there is nothing dementia can do to take that away from us. All of which have been published and are can be purchased individually on Amazon. My own grandmother also has this problem and it breaks my heart when she asks me things about my past that she thinks still remain today, I don't have the heart to tell her that I'm getting a divorce, and when she asks for my ex it still hurts. It is very difficult for my dad to see his mother in this state, so this books really speaks to me and hopefully I'll be able to be of more help.
