About the Author Aviva Rubin is an ex-health policy analyst, who was diagnosed with marginal zone lymphoma in 2013 and found herself on the user end of the health care system. She is a freelance writer and blogger. Her work has appeared in the Globe and Mail, the New York Times Motherlode, Toronto Life, the Huffington Post, and a number of anthologies. She lives in Toronto with her two sons.

It is courageous, and encouraging in spite of the horrific experiences it chronicles. The writer is honest and poetic, fully engaging in the telling of this story. At times it is funny; it is harrowing and enlightening in so many ways. I admire this writers' ability to get at the heart of some very complex interiors, and to put into words such depth of feeling and awareness in the face of fear and uncertainty. I recommend it to everyone, not just people battling disease. Anyone who is in love with life will treasure this book. It is a positive triumph.

A heartfelt journey of fear, insight, family, friendship and love - infused with a wonderful sense of humor that left me smiling as I wiped away some tears. You need not be a member of "Cancerland" to enjoy this read. It is an inspirational story of the challenges of life that we can all relate to. I love this book and feel that in Lymphomaland, I have Found a new friend!
