I knew Kevin Mannix from working in broadcasting in Portland Maine myself and was eager to read their book. Once I opened the book I was deeply moved by the personal sharings of both Kevin and his Wife Linda about their lives and their troubles. Both Linda and Kevin have their own stories of personal and family shame with their parents and the stigma associated with these issues in each chapter. They also explain how it effected them and others they were with and help sought to resolve these issues. Immediately I was able to see where these issues and other issues have effected others in my own family, friends and most of all myself.If there any issues in your past that seem to be causing issues with your present life or are still unresolved, "Weathering Shame" is a must read! The book reminds us we are not alone with personal struggles and it is good to identify the problems in order to be happy with our lives and happy with others.Bob PerryWQRY106.com

Living in Maine and see Kevin on television almost every day, I never would have known he was going through this. He and Linda give a great inside to the ups and downs of these troubkes.
