Reading these books, there are two, has really helped me prepare for doing this therapy. There are over 2,000 studies showing it can heal very difficult infections. I have Lyme Disease and there are other co-infections (300+) that you can get from tick, spider, mosquito bites. Or it can be passed on by the mother. Very difficult to treat. But with just one sting, a test sting, I felt a little bit better. I am looking forward to reading all of Amber's books. She has been doing this over 22 years and treated 55,000 patients, with great results! Join our group on FB, search for Apitherapy or Bee Venom Therapy. I know of 2 groups. Both are extremely helpful!

There's a good chart on the vertebrae that correspond with different parts of the body. It explains different pathways (liver, heart, stomach, lung, spleen, etc). It's a great book to get along with the Healing Lyme with Bee Venom book.

I study it everyday, depending on how I am feeling I can look our points to use with acupressure or for bee venom therapy to heal physical/emotional symptoms. Easy to read, Dr Rose has been working with BVT patients for over 22 years, including curing herself. This ancient knowledge is finally getting out.

Dalton The novel, Amor en Minúscula, caught my attention for two reasons: First, I love stories where cats are essential elements to the plot. Secondly, I like stories set in Spain, specifically Barcelona. The author, Francesc Miralles, kept my attention throughout the book. At first, I wondered if the book was a memoir, but I soon realized that it was a modern-day novel.In Amor en Minúscula, Francesc Miralles develops an endearing story about Samuel, a young and lonely German professor who befriends a stray cat. At first, Samuel resists the cat's intrusion into his solitary life but eventually succumbs to the charm of his unwanted guest, changing both of their lives in unexpected ways. The cat causes Samuel to make friends with a lovely veterinarian, a crotchety old neighbor, and an assortment of odd people from Barcelona. Add Samuel's rekindled love for Gabriela, a childhood friend, and we have a novel that both intrigues and inspires, provoking the question: How does Samuel resolve his fight with solitude? Even if Samuel does not acknowledge his need for help, other characters, Gabriela, Valdemar, and Titus, see through him, and manage to push him in new directions. The novel inspires because, by the end of the story, Samuel becomes a better and stronger person.

No soy mojigato, pero es refrescante leer un libro inspirado y muy entretenido al mismo tiempo. Esta novela tiene todo: una trama no tanto enrevesada, personajes fascinantes y escrito en una prosa sobresaliente y bien comprensible. El protagonista, Samuel de Juan, es un solitario treinton con pocos amigos y muy introvertido. Su vida consiste en trabajar como profesor de alemán, leer literatura variopinta y escuchar a música clásica. Esta vida aburrida va a cambiar a bruces cuando un gato callejero de improviso llega en su vida el primer día del año nuevo. Ya empieza un recorrido lleno de amigos nuevos y estrafalarios; el encuentro renovado con un amiga perdida desde la infancia; y, lo más importante, la confianza en sí mismo. Para nosotros los lectores en esta jornada, ganamos la perspicacia sobre tan grandes escritores como Kafka, Goethe, Maugham y Greene a modo de ingeniosos cuentitos y citas. To our knowledge, no existing book or article describes how to establish and operate a vibrant and sustainable clinical ethics consultation service (ECS) from the ground up. As a result, ECS directors and ethics consultants may be charged with building or reinvigorating and sustaining a high-quality, successful service without sufficient practical guidance on how to plan, implement, and monitor their efforts. This lack of guidance can give rise to problems, including wasted time and effort, as well as misalignments in expectations and goals between hospital administrators and ethics consultants on what constitutes “success” and “failure” in service activities. Toward the goal of providing this much-needed guidance, we describe key considerations and strategies for developing, implementing, and monitoring a high-quality, successful service. It is important to note that in responding to hospital administrators’ expectations and establishing a successful service, it is necessary but not sufficient to demonstrate the competence of individual consultants. Thus, some portions of this guide are addressed to the individual or individuals leading an ECS, but many chapters will be useful to anyone engaging in clinical ethics consultation or playing a role in overseeing or otherwise advocating for an ECS. Our focus is on building and sustaining high-quality, successful services in ways that go well beyond the traditional focus on how to conduct an ethics consultation. Specifically, we have chapters and sections devoted to working through a case, mediation skills, and conducting and facilitating family meetings that should be useful for any ethics consultant, particularly individuals who are new to ethics consultation or seasoned consultants who wish to reflect on their practices, but we also have chapters and sections devoted to “selling points to hospital administrators on the value of ECSs,” building an ECS infrastructure, launching a service, etc., that are aimed more towards ECS directors, with the goal of providing essential guidance on ECS development and maintenance. Finally, our goal is to be as practical and clinically-oriented as possible by addressing everyday nuts-and-bolts concerns that apply across demographically- and geographically-diverse hospital settings, subject to some individual variation that we will underscore for our readership. In particular, we arrange this guide according to phases of an ECS. Part 1 will focus on planning for an ECS. Part 2 will discuss how to implement an ECS. Part 3 will then conclude with information about how to monitor an ECS once it is established, and how to address common challenges. We believe that much of the advice we provide can be extended to other consultative or hospital services that are based in hospitals, such as palliative medicine, chaplaincy, or social work services. About the Author The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is one of the leading academic centers in the field of biomedical ethics and health policy. The Center was founded in 1982 as a joint program between BCM and Rice University. The impetus for founding the Center was the recognition that the ever-increasing abilities of medicine raise fundamental value questions of how society should use these abilities and how much of them society can afford to use. The very success of medicine has made its practice morally complex as well as challenging for healthcare policy. The Center’s mission is to conduct cutting-edge multidisciplinary research on emerging, as well as perennial, ethical issues arising in clinical practice and in biomedical research in a changing environment. In creating this guide, we drew on the collective wisdom of colleagues who have built successful services, informed by expert opinion and literature reviews. The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy has 30 years of experience conducting ethics consultations in adult and pediatric tertiary, academic, and community hospitals. Center faculty organize and teach an annual Intensive Bioethics Course in partnership with Houston Methodist, with a particular emphasis on training the next generation of ethics consultants. We regularly contribute to the academic literature on clinical ethics consultation, and some of our faculty hold leadership positions in professional societies, including the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) and the Clinical Ethics Consultation Affairs (CECA) Standing Committee, owing to our experience and reputation for excellence in developing and leading ECSs and conducting high-quality ethics consultations. Some of our clinical ethicists have conducted over 2,000 clinical ethics consultations. Moreover, because developing and running an ECS requires expertise in program administration as well as ethics consultation, and that an ECS is typically part of a larger clinical ethics or bioethics program that includes educational and policy work, our group has expertise and experience that extend beyond ethics consultation.

I must say, of the materials available, this manual offers the best comprehensive guidance to developing, expanding, or reinvigorating any CEC service. Clinical ethicists know there are numerous models of ethics consultation. Clinical ethicists often encounter the challenge of figuring out which model of CEC works best for his or her institution and how to propose their programs to key stakeholders. The authors have spent countless hours of collaboration creating this manual as a resource for anyone who is looking to know what leading experts in clinical ethics have considered in building successful programs and how to train the next generation of consultants. It is astonishing to think that nothing similar has been published previously.Now that we are fortunate enough to have a resource like this at our disposal, I am confident that anyone who considers themselves to be a clinical ethicist, no matter how junior or senior, should have a copy of this text at their disposal.Disclosure: As a new fellow with the Center for Medical Ethics & Health Policy, I have the privilege and honor of working with the authors of this manual. Remanufactured By MussSyke In this 126 page book, mostly lifted From France country guide and France Discover, 18 pages in the back are exactly the same as that of "Provence and Southeast France Road Trips" (Ok, so one line is off, pushing back the formatting a bit to hopefully fool you). Also a few pages in front are the same stuff you get in every LP. After an extended version of their typical itineraries section, which looks a bit like their Discover series because of the extra pictures, it just moves on to "Destinations", which is a condensed version of their regular country guide (when they were in color for a short time).Also, these few hundred km max drives don't really strike me as a road trip. "Road Trip" has me thinking exciting 6000km loops around the top half of Argentina or most of Turkey, not a spec of France. And they have a section on "driving", which sort of makes sense, except what is there to know about driving in France? It's the same as anywhere else in the West with no particular dangers or pitfalls.Lonely Planet is no longer a couple of happy hippies, they're a giant corporation who want all your money, even if it means manufacturing an entire new line of books right from the desktop with staple footage. I'm continuously amazed how many books repackage the same material.It's really okay. It's fun to look at for a few minutes. But why bother?

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. SO MANY CASTLES......SO LITTLE TIME! By Marie Antoinette My husband and I were fortunate to visit the Loire Valley in 2013. We spent four nights there, giving us three full days to visit some of the castles. We actually toured seven castles and by the end of the third day we were all "castled out"! Each caste has its unique beauty and history. It's hard to choose which castles to visit since there are so many to choose from. Before my trip I did research on the area to help me decide.This book is a good supplement to a more detailed travel guide on the Loire Valley as well as the Burgundy region. There are four road trips detailed in this book: Chateaux of the Loire (5 days), Caves & Cellars of the Loire (3 days), Medieval Burgundy (6 days) and Route des Grands Crus (for the wine lover) (2 days). The second half of the book focuses on additional destinations for both the Loire Valley and the Burgundy region.If you only plan on seeing two or three castles, on top of my list would be Chateau de Chambord for its sheer magnificent over the top architecture. Another castle not to be missed is Chateau de Villandry for its extravagant and colorful gardens (we were there in September and the flowers were in full bloom). If you visit Chateau D'Amboise make sure you also visit Le Clos Luce, it's just up the street in Amboise and it's the manor house where Leonardo da Vinci spent the final years of his life. The best part of da Vinci's manor is down in the basement where there are many sketches, scale models and other interesting things he created are displayed for the public. In its courtyard there are a couple of restaurants where you can take a break from all the touring and have a relaxing lunch outdoors with some local wine.As far as transportation goes, after spending a few days in Paris, when it was time to leave we picked up a rental car and drove to the Loire Valley since many of these castles are not near public transportation or railways. It took us approximately two hours to get there from Paris and it was actually a pleasant drive; once we left Paris, the highway opened up and there was no traffic.This book is small and compact enough to take it with you as you explore these beautiful regions of France.

While it hits the highlights and provides some good tips and information, it is far from comprehensive. It is a good starting point for trip planning and probably sufficient for first time visitors. It provides a taste, not the whole meal. It is fine as an adjunct but a serious traveler will want more.

Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960–1971 examines the beginnings of Ono's career, demonstrating her pioneering role in visual art, performance and music during the 1960s and early 1970s. It begins in New York in December 1960, where Ono initiated a performance series with La Monte Young in her Chambers Street loft. Over the course of the decade, Ono earned international recognition, staging "Cut Piece" in Kyoto and Tokyo in 1964, exhibiting at the Indica Gallery in London in 1966, and launching with John Lennon her global "War Is Over!" campaign in 1969. Ono returned to New York in the early 1970s and organized an unsanctioned "one woman show" at MoMA. Over 40 years after Ono's unofficial MoMA debut, the Museum presents its first exhibition dedicated exclusively to the artist's work. The accompanying publication features three newly commissioned essays that evaluate the cultural context of Ono's early years, and five sections reflecting her geographic locations during this period and the corresponding evolution of her artistic practice. Each chapter includes an introduction by a guest scholar, artwork descriptions, primary documents culled from newspapers, magazines and journals, and a selection by the artist of her texts and drawings.Born in Tokyo in 1933, Yoko Ono moved to New York in the mid-1950s and became a critical link between the American and Japanese avant-gardes. Ono's groundbreaking work greatly influenced the international development of Conceptual art, performance art and experimental film and music. In celebration of Ono's eightieth birthday in 2013, the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt organized a major traveling retrospective.

Its difficult for Lennons fan base to understand avant-garde. But that is the price of fame (and fortune). I think is probably an effort to show her as her own artiste. I think the only mistake Lennon made was to try and force feed avant-garde on the general public. As an artist, the public will not get it. Nor should they. So history will prevail and Yoko will still be persecuted. But at the same time she has had a very good life of very good fortune.
