About the Author Michael Goldman is a veteran entertainment-industry journalist and author. He has edited for Daily Variety and Millimeter magazines, and contributes regularly to American Cinematographer. He has written six books, including Clint Eastwood: Master Filmmaker at Work. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.Ethan Wayne, John Wayne’s youngest son, currently is President of Wayne Enterprises, the sole and exclusive steward of the John Wayne brand. In addition, Ethan also serves as Director of John Wayne Cancer Foundation (JWCF), a nonprofit organization established by the Wayne family following John Wayne's own heroic battle with cancer. Since its founding in 1985, the JWCF has supported awareness programs, education programs, and support groups in its mission to bring courage, strength, and grit to the fight against cancer.

The family has done their father proud with this book. Along with the first one they had published, the two books together will be cherished by John Wayne fans for years to come. With all the added copies of letters from Duke's fellow actors and actresses, letters from Presidents and other important people in Duke's life, plus all the other little copies of documents from the life of John Wayne make this book something that can be passed on to future generations of fans. And it's so much better put together then that book by Roberts/Welky called Treasures. Outstanding job to Ethan and his staff at John Wayne Enterprises.

He could not put it down. Loves the book. The best Father's Day gift I ever gave him I think. John Wayne was a true American patriot.(maybe in spite of being a Hollywood actor)And the book is well written,filled with information and a good read, says my sweetie.
