The Italian language used here is understandable even for someone with intermediate knowledge of Italian (like me) but still the author manages to describe single moments and objectives in a remarkably vivid and poetic style. For anyone interested in discovering contemporary Italian literature, this is a very nice starting point.

This woman is a survivor- a fascinating journey toward self discovery By cynthia marsh I tend not to like memoirs as they can be whiney and self centered (hated Eat, Pray, Love). This book is neither. Annie Mae has written about her journey through life with a focus on understanding and not blaming and with a compassion for others that is remarkable. Given the circumstances, it is hard to understand how she continued to get out of bed every day to face her demons without just throwing in the towel. It is a testament to her inner fortitude that she continued to search for answers even while knowing the answers would be difficult to face. This book is well written, well organized, and hard to put down. Highly recommended.

By anne m russo Annie Mae Robertson has lived a life filled with pain but with enough hope, love and happiness to carry her to the point of being able to put pen to paper to share the story. At times the story is difficult to read as she graphically writes of the abuse at the hands of her husband.The bottom line : Annie Mae Robertson is a survivor. While the story is hers, the reader gets the feeling her children have not only survived but all lead stable lives and reflect her ability to provide a well rounded interesting family life.a good read!!

All Hail Her "Madgesty" By TBo As a long time Madonna fan AND a collector of a lot of books on her, I have to say I was waiting with anticipation on this book. It did not disappoint! The photos that were selected show the scope of Madonna's career from her very early days in NYC to today. The text that accompanies each photo is a detail of that photo and of that time in her career. The book is one that can be read in several sittings of can be scanned through and read without missing any details. Michelle Morgan approached this book as a fan and as a professional writer. Both of which are evident. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and have already ordered extra for holiday gifts.

Fabian Despite the one negative review on here I'm really enjoying the book. It is stunning literature? No. But it's not meant to be. It's also not a trashy "tell all." It's a beautiful compilation of photos over the course of Madonna's life and career. And, I did find out a few things about The Queen that I never knew. Enjoy this book on its merits; which is beautiful images thoughtfully laid out to document a life and a career.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. LOVED EVERY PAGE!!! By AUNT FANNIE LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I've been a Madonna fan since she first came out; and I have to say this book is a MUST HAVE!! It begins with her childhood and ends in early 2014. The book is easy to read; Writing on one page and a corresponding photo on the other. Most of these photo's I've never seen before (and I thought I seen them all). Overall, the book gives wonderful and unique insights on Madonna as a person, performer, artist, mother, daughter, lover, and wife. It shows the highs and lows of her career and personal life. I must say, this book is truly amazing. The author really did her homework when researching about this amazing woman. It's definitely a collector's item for any Madonna Fan!

By Garrie I can't understand why this book says simple ways but it's a hundred of them, I guess you'll be stressed following all those. If it says simple then it should have only few ways for us to follow for an anxiety and stress-free living. However, this book has it all when it comes to alleviating stress and anxiety. It still boils down to live a healthy life, meaning, eat the right foods, drink lots of water, exercise daily, less alcohol and nicotine intake or eliminate them totally, less coffee, meditate, have sex more often laugh more, more walks, etc. Those I've done when it came to a point when I felt anxious and so stressed. Even though, I've already read more books like this one, still this book is totally different from the ones I've read because again, the author gives 100 ways and explained how to follow and keep those ways.

A personal experience about severe anxiety used to help other overcome is such a courageous act. I liked this book because I feel the author's sincerity and confidence in sharing how to use the power of mind to break out from anxiety from personal experience. 100 simple ways provided in this context were awesome!! Very easy to remember and understand and it's so realistic. This book suggested several proven methods and strategies like proper meditation, learning how to embrace insecurities and how to know our purpose. Knowing our perspective, being grateful and strong management of panic attacks were just some of these strategies. I learned that some people feel insecure because of other people's judgments. Learn to be patient, learn to forgive and be more organized, lessons I best learned from this book just to mention some.

The techniques and strategies given by the author did not require any expensive equipment or tools, it can be done only by using the power of our minds and in our homes. I really find this book very helpful. As for my personal experience, I used to have a problem sleeping at night but that was reduced when I started using guided hypnosis to get a deep sleep and relax, though this book suggested to listen to confidence hypnosis track, it gave me the idea to search for guided hypnosis online to address my sleeping issues and it really worked for me. I also find the topic about finding our purpose very interesting. This book is inspiring and a must read for busy individuals who are looking for practical ways to reduce their stress.

By Amazon Customer I like this book it educates me about using essential oils in aromatherapy. At first I thought aromatherapy is more about fragrances that smell good but now I learned a lot of it from this book. I learned the health benefits of using aromatherapy in the body that it can relieve stress, help in reduction of sensation in pain, and many more. I highly recommend this book to everyone because it's useful and reading this book will convince you to use essential oils in treating bodily problems. There are also different essential oils and carrier oils given inside the book and essential oil recipes that you can do at home. So, have a copy of this book.

The text is clear and easy to read. A lot useful information from history and how essential oils produced, advices how to blend, store and use oils. The many benefits from using oils described in details. Chapter about carrier oils with all information about them was a pleasant surprise for me. And recipes of course! You will find remedies for health, mood, beauty, home or even pets.This book is an informative and enlightening introduction for every oil user!

By Dia Hughes Even if there are already apps and technology is making its way into our lives, there will always be an Essential Oil for something that we need. This is what this book ha shown its readers. This book is indeed beginner-friendly and it has been profoundly complete in disseminating info about the perks of Essential Oils. There are even 150 and more powerful recipes that promise to work. And what I appreciate most is the discussion of the different essential oils and their uses. This is more than a bonus, it's a blessing!

By CASTELO Con ver el titulo se puede pensar que es una novela romantica donde los personajes se enamaron y viven una aventura rosita de amor. Pero no, esta es una historia de accion, servicio secreto, y villanos megalomaniacos. Si disfruta de series de TV como 24 con Jack Bauer esta es una historia con ese estilo. La accion no se detiene y no se puede dejar el libro hasta terminarlo. Y tambien tiene sus momentos romanticos para satisfacer a los que le gusta eso. Es una lectura facil y entretenida que no se van arrepentir de leerla.

Se trata del hombre protagonista, Lucas, tratando de superar la muerte de su esposa y hija luego de un accidente en su automóvil. El libro esta sencillamente escrito para la mayoría de lectores entender y con varios géneros como romance, ficción, crimen y aventura para varios leer. Me gustaría leer la próxima secuela para ver la relación de Lucas y Pamela florecer aun más. Lo recomendaría a mis amigas lectoras para disfrutar de este buen libro, cual es refrescante y fuera del típico género que esta de moda de los personajes involucrado con una enfermedad mortal o sobre un futuro alternativo.

About the Author Dr Jean-Claude Guimberteau is co-founder and scientific director of the Institut Aquitain de la Main, and past-President 2011-2012 of the French Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (SOFCPRE). Dr Guimberteau trained in hand and plastic surgery at the University of Bordeaux, under Professors Goumain and Baudet. He worked in microsurgery and transplantation, extending his surgical experience through working in the USA with Dr J M Converse and Dr Ralph Millard. With Professor Claude Verdan in Switzerland and Dr Harold Kleinert in the USA he wrote a book: New ideas in hand surgery He has developed our knowledge of the structure and function of tendon physiology, and pioneered techniques for secondary flexor tendon repair. Perhaps his most significant contribution to our understanding of human biology has come about through his innovative use of video-endoscopy to investigate the structure of the fascia in vivo, resulting in what is essentially a new concept of living tissue and a new ontology for human body architecture. Through the company endovivo.com he has published many videos on living matter: Strolling under the skin, 2005; Skin excursion, 2008; Muscle Attitude, 2009; Interior Architectures, 2011; Skin, Scars and Stiffness, 2012; and Destination Tendon, 2012 Dr Guimberteau is also a member of the French Hand Society (GEM), and of the French Academy of Surgery. He has been a member of the (French) Health Service High Authority 2007-2010.
